Standing tall at work….

OMC Technologies recognise that our employees are our most valuable asset, and ensuring they remain healthy is of benefit to the person themselves and the company. Following discussions with one of our suppliers, LINAK, and best ergonomic practice we have commenced the roll out of height adjustable desks across our office based staff.

It is scientifically proven that human beings are not designed to sit for extended periods and our enzymes responsible for burning fat just shut down while sitting. The mere act of standing on your feet burns three times as many calories as sitting in your seat.

Propelled by LINAK electric actuators, our new height adjustable desks allow our employees to pick a position that is right for them, anytime of the day, whatever the task. A simple push of a button is all that is required.

Employees have found these desks to be simple to use and, once used to standing at the desk, much better than sitting all day.
