“It’s OK not to feel OK….”

On Thursday 4th of May, OMC Technologies were delighted to be involved in organising some talks by Mr. Dudley Farrell, a director of ‘Cycle Against Suicide’, on the BMS/Jacobs Cruiserath project, where we are currently working. The purpose of the talks was to raise awareness of mental health issues and the talks were open to all construction site workers. Dudley spoke both passionately and informatively on the topic and the several sessions were very well attended.

‘Cycle Against Suicide’ aims to:

Raise awareness of the prevalent issue of suicide;
Offer reassurance that “it’s ok not to feel ok; and it’s absolutely ok to ask for help”;
Direct people to where this critical help is available both locally and across the island of Ireland.

Together, shoulder to shoulder, we can break the cycle of suicide on the island of Ireland.
