Metal Fabricators/Site Fitters – Dublin Base

OMC Technologies DAC are looking to recruit experienced metal fabricators in stainless and mild-steel fabrication and/or site fitters who would be working on Dublin based sites.

This role will involve:

  • Working as part of a team;
  • Following instructions issued to you by your supervisor;
  • Ensuring that safety standards are always met;
  • Reading and understanding drawings;
  • Positioning and fitting parts to weld;
  • Completion of other tasks as may be assigned to you by your supervisor.

 

Our metal fabricators/fitters are tasked to deliver high end projects for some of Ireland’s premier construction projects and as such require a high level of attention to detail, an ability to problem solve and work under time constraints with minimum supervision.

 

Candidates will ideally have:

  • Successfully completed their SOLAS/ FAS metal fabrication apprenticeship
  • Several years’ experience in the metal fabrication/site installation industry;
  • A current safe pass card;
  • A current manual handling training certificate.

 

Schedule: 10 hour shift

Supplemental pay types: Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate: Reliably commute to sites around/in Dublin City Centre.

Work Location:Dublin based sites.

Safety Officer – Limerick Based

OMC Technologies DAC are looking to recruit a Safety Officer. 

Role:

To assist the Compliance Manager and the overall management team in the promotion of safety, health, and welfare across the organization.

From time to time this role will require visits to various sites around the country.

Reporting structure:

The safety officer will report to the compliance manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Promotion of safety, health, and welfare across the organisation.
  • Conducting H&S site visits.
  • Conducting H&S inspections of projects.
  • Conducting H&S inspections of workshops.
  • Promotion of PPE awareness and use across all projects and workshops.
  • Monitoring of load security.
  • Coalition and reporting of safety data to the Compliance Manager.
  • Support project managers and site supervisors in relation to safety performance
  • Support the Compliance Manager in the investigation of accidents and incidents.
  • Any other duties as may be required from time to time.

Qualifications:

Certificate or degree in safety, health, and welfare at work or equivalent.

 

Experience:

2-3 years safety, health and welfare experience in the manufacturing and/or construction sector is required for this role.

Experience in load security and transportation of steel by road would be an advantage.

Quality Inspector – Limerick Based

MOMC Technologies DAC are looking to recruit a Safety Officer. 

Role:

To assist the Compliance Manager and the overall management team in the promotion of quality standards across the organization.

Reporting structure:

The quality inspector will report to the compliance manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Promotion of quality standards across the organisation.
  • Conducting random documentation audits in accordance with company documentation requirements.
  • Conducting in-process inspection of items undergoing fabrication.
  • Conducting final/release checks of fabricated products.
  • Coalition of quality documentation packs for issue to clients.
  • Coalition and reporting of quality data to the Compliance Manager.
  • Support project managers and site supervisors in relation to quality performance
  • Support the Compliance Manager in the investigation of quality issues, NC’s and CAPA’s.
  • Any other duties as may be required from time to time.

Qualifications:

Qualified metal fabricator or similar qualification.

Certificate or degree in Quality management or equivalent would be an advantage.

 

Experience:

2-3 years as a fully qualified metal fabricator or equivalent is required for this role.

Previous experience in a QA /QC role would be an advantage.
